House under the shadow of a Tree
Chuy et Cesar ont décidé de récupérer un espace de 90 m2 à la périphérie de la ville, en poussant l'optimisation des ressources à la limite, un défi important qui nous a amenés à réaliser des actions concrètes pour donner rapidement une nouvelle perception au bâtiment, en plus de diversifier son utilisation, en ayant comme priorité immédiate son fonctionnement comme maison et en cherchant à ce que l'impact sur le terrain soit nul.

Architettura Povera
Obra's first solo show entitled Architettura Povera opened in the BEB Gallery at the Rhode Island School of Design in 2004. The exhibition explored the guiding principles of experimentation unhindered by tradition, complete openness towards materials and processes, and the rejection of a defined style which characterized the "Arte Povera" movement of the late 60's and early 70's in Italy. The work is surrounded by an eight-foot Wall of Lessons constructed of 3/32" thick luan plywood interlocking units. Each unit is etched with a brief "lesson." In this manner the physical effort of assembling the wall, completed by a crew of 20 RISD students, is itself an educational experience.
