Hayes Pavilion

This stunning pavilion was the perfect solution to a previously disjointed outdoor living space. The owners had two existing large outdoor patios and an outdoor kitchen, which were exposed to the elements and felt disconnected. The goal was to have a covered space, connecting the two patio areas, while providing respite from the sun, which would make the spaces much more comfortable and usable. Now, the pavilion provides large seating areas for dining, relaxing, and entertaining.  The pavilion is charming enough to have a private dining experience and large enough to entertain 20 for a party. HILLSBOROUGH | CAROLANDS

Taking cues from the neighboring classical Carolands Chateau, this home for six maximizes a flat site by lifting the quiet programs off the ground to float above the activity.  Service spaces are captured amongst a masonry plinth, nodding to the neighboring Chateau’s organization and rusticated base.   ADAM ROUSE ADAM ROUSE ADAM ROUSE ADAM ROUSE ADAM ROUSE These masses organize the primary public spaces into a double high core that connects seamlessly to the exterior.  When doors retract, the wood clad volume above becomes a canopy for indoor/outdoor living.   ADAM ROUSE ADAM ROUSE ADAM ROUSE ADAM ROUSE ADAM ROUSE ADAM ROUSE The language of the wood cladding... Rabbit House

The Farmhouse

A late 70’s mykonian house located in the middle of the island, with no view to the sea, was transformed into one of the spectacular villas of Mykonos. Being in one of the most agricultural parts of Mykonos, Maou, the concept was easy to decide: create a Farmhouse, where the outdoor areas become the most important part of the design, with a lot of personality to "make the difference". The result is a successful mix & match of different styles - mykonian, 70’s, farmhouse, bohemian & industrial – in complete harmony with the surroundings. The Farmhouse is composed by 3 levels. In the eastern side are located the 3 guest apartments, separated from the rest of the house for privacy; they all have their own outdoor livi... En savoir plus

Silver Hill Residence

The renovation of this 1980’s residence transformed the disjointed original house into an open and inviting space with a strong connection to the outdoors. The interior is characterized by clean lines and natural materials including raw steel, shou sugi ban, and walnut that bring warmth and texture to the space. The large kitchen and central island form the nucleus of the home: a place where the newly blended family of six can gather as one. The exterior of the house was simplified in form and material. New landscaping, outdoor kitchen, porch, and fire pit allow family life to spill into the beautiful back yard. Hand cut limestone pavers mediate both the steep elevational changes from the interior to pool level, and the transition fro... En savoir plus
