Funktion Design is a dynamic architecture and design practice established in the year 2009.
The practice comprising a team of 11 is currently working on more than 3 lakh sft of diverse design programs. The company has a diverse portfolio of work that includes residential, commercial, hospitality and industrial architecture.
The focus of the practice is to explore new meaning to old typologies with its practical and logical design solutions that have a sensitive dialogue to the larger urban context.
Architecture to us is a journey of processes. The ever shifting thought process and ideas that evolve,develop and sometimes get reconfigured along this journey. The projects from which these ideas germinate and reappear are just part of this larger ideation journey.
Journey is also in terms of the transformation of space with ever changing time, users, light, season and weather and the sensitivity to that.
The great thing about the cycle of design and building is the constant churning of old design ideas and the reprogramming that occurs when different situations, people and times come together and with an almost unpredictable nature which almost superfluously seem like an outcome of chance.
