Born in Adana, Turkey, Nebihe was educated from an early age in the US, with a graduate degree in Interior Design, from the renowned Parsons the New School of Design. Initially, she concentrated on high end retail design, working for Catherine Malandrino in New York, followed by Michael Kors, where she worked for many years, as a senior designer for the Store Design and Development department globally.
In 2016, Nebihe founded the eponymous, London based, Nebihe Cihan Studio, specializing in retail and high-end residential in iconic cityscapes. Due to her extensive travel, there is a cultural symbiosis present throughout her work, with clean, crisp lines at the core of it. She draws inspiration from her international wealth of experience, bringing with it a seamless sophistication and sensibility, executed in the most exquisite manner. Simplicity and luxury are inextricably intertwined in her designs, which focus first and foremost on the architecture of the building, combined with the needs of her clients.
Throughout her illustrious career, she has taken on retail projects from Paris, to the Upper East Side, and high-end residential from London, to Park Avenue, to Bel Air, to name a few. Nebihe is adept in merging fine art and interior design, working closely with her clients to curate their art collection, as well as seamlessly integrating their existing art work, in way that both reflects their character and sets the mood. Working with high profile, private clients, Nebihe’s refined eye brings to life their brief, with a clean aesthetic, that can only be defined as Nebihe Cihan.
