GROCERY STORE SCHUSTER TARTSCH

Since 1972 the Schuster grocery supplies the Tarces town. The project starts from the owners' wish to create a new shop image. The store consists of one small open space (about 90 m²).

Outside the shop, the project was limited to the renewal of the facade, the repositioning of the main entrance to optimize the access and internal use, the replacement of the windows and the designing of two information panels facing the shop. The facade surface is made of cement-based plaster, whose warm gray color gives a natural and harmonious tone that recalls the traditional colors of the local farms.

Inside, the aim of the project was to create a cozy and fluid space, where customers can buy in a relaxed, airy environment. The interior disposition was therefore completely reorganized, enhancing through clear show the many local and organic products.

The project consists in a modern “boiserie” with soft, natural curves. Inside these panels are arranged some niches. The different sized of the niches have been tailored according to thematic groups of foods for sale. The surface is externally coated with a resin cement-based with a rough and irregular finishing to mark the artisanal and unique character of the production. The niches are made in white wood laminate. The contrast between the exterior surface of the furniture and the niches gives the prominence of the food products.

Fresh products like fruits and vegetables are displayed in three shelves made of traditional wooden boxes.
