Harboring a brand name famous in over 10 countries globally, Toyroom Aerocity portrays its stature of being one of the biggest names in the entertaining hospitality genre. Complying with the quirks of the ambiance offered at other outlets including London, Dubai, Istanbul and Rome; this interior space subtly fuses a ‘hip’ vibe with vibrant wall art and an innovative play of lights; to create a euphoric and fun club environ.
Inspired by the Scandinavian style of design characterised by simplicity and functionality, the internal composition evidently portrays a minimalist approach, contrasting to the flamboyant brand name the design poses for. Yet another facet that connects the scheme in one convivial string, is the presence of ‘Franky’, a teddy bear mascot of the Toy room brand. His presence is observed as wall graffities, in grill patterns beneath table tops and soft décor elements- all throughout the interior space.
Being establishers of an eminent world-wide brand, the client’s desire was primarily to curate a club that is analogous to the prevalent design style of their international outlets, while inculcating few highlighting assets that define the aura of this particular restaurant. Team Chromed, thus, concocted the iconic elements reflective of the distinctive label and fused it with sound instigative LED lights, classic chandeliers and comfortable seating configurations.
The design has been formulated into three distinct zones. The arrival of the users is embraced with a reception area, dozed with grandiose and a frivolous flavour. Headed by a fluted MDF counter in red and LED lettering of the brand name, the space is topped with an intricate chandelier on a wooden false ceiling, for a supplementary elegant touch. Merchandise shelves, placed adjacent to the reception desk, provide the audience with amusing products bearing the ‘Toy room’ logo. Further on, a commuting corridor brimmed with groovy wall art and LED lettering on the roof, manoeuvres the glimpse to the next flamboyant zone. Curtained entries to separate private spaces may be noted at the culminating point of the corridor.
Entry to the main spaces of the club is marked with an addition of traditional columns on either side of the inception. The magnanimous bar area is what fore-fronts the imminent panorama. Featuring a 70 ft long counter space, the frontal segment is stuffed with miniature soft mascots, introducing the shade of yellow to an otherwise dark toned colour palette. The mild steel bar-displays, portray a rose-gold finish and are amalgamated with a luminated cubic ‘TOY ROOM’. An innovative chandelier, showering ambient light to the milieu, is observed in front of the bar seating. Serving a functional purpose, a liquor storage is connected directly to the main bar arena.
The final yet continuing main floor zone is further segregated into two subtle levels. The generic level is dedicated to the grooving visitors and fuses a Madrix LED lighted ceiling that coordinates its momentum with the beat of track. A seamless essence has been introduced through a Nero Saint Laurent marble flooring, accomplished in a black tone. The area also constitutes of minimal seating to cater to the customers on the dance floor.
Furthermore, the elevated section is designated for VIP seating and houses comfortable booth seating options. Using wine-toned hues for the soft furnishing and herringbone wooden flooring bordered with marble, accentuates the finesse of this space with a requisite plush nature. To add to the dramatic set-up, a curtained backdrop has been used on a portion of the posh booth seating. The other segments are backed by wooden panels with brass inlays, and luminous mountings of pop-artist characters. Similar to the bar and reception areas, this specified space also houses an array of ostentatious chandeliers, imparting a redefined sense of class.
The Toy Room, thus, is a coalescence of a frisky club ambiance blended in a fine brew with elements of opulence and brand-value.
