Leeds Arena

The long-awaited first direct Arena in Leeds is a really sound example of how structural materials can make or break the performance of an entertainment venue. The first stadium in the UK to feature a unique fan shape which radiates out from a central stage, its location in the heart of Leeds in a highly-populated area meant that external noise threatened to become an unwelcome backing track for visiting superstars, concerts and attractions. But thanks to the clever use of ComFlor® structural decks and expert advice from manufacturer Tata Steel, the result is truly music to the ears not only for the audience but for developers Leeds City Council, who had strict requirements that external noise levels were 10dB lower inside the arena.... Completely remodelled on the historic site of what was Slovakia’s oldest ice hockey stadium, construction of the arena took over two years to complete, taking its capacity to over 10,000 seats. State-of-the-art scoreboard and game presentation systems ensure spectators are fully encased in the experience whilst the rugged, ice-clear cut of the building perfectly matches its purpo... Altro
