Luxury jewellery brand Autore Moda unveils its flagship store in Double Bay, New South Wales, Australia. Designed by Alex Morrison Interiors, the project takes inspiration from the form, charm and lustre of the South Sea Pearl.

In response to the brief’s requirement of a resort-like escape that felt more like a lounge space than a typical jewellery store, the design is a picturesque haven of soft tones and luxurious materials.

Curated in layers of minimalist forms wrapped in textured hues of pink and terracotta, the design is a visual expression of the brand’s aesthetics. The plastered Marmorino walls and velvet fabrics create a subtle interplay of light within the space, highlighting the luminescence of pearls while contrasting with the deeper custom-coloured micro-cement floor.

The shell-like alcove, furnished with a curved velvet lounger and pearl-like cushions, creates a sense of depth and bestows notes of sheer elegance. Framed in pink marble, aged brass detailing, and soft Venetian plaster, the jewellery displays evoke admiration among the users as they walk through the space.

Curved hand-finished columns illuminated by antique Murano light fixtures separate the window displays and pay homage to the founder, Ruby Autore's Italian heritage. To counter the challenge of limited area, a large floor-to-ceiling mirror rests in the front display, capturing the reflection of the store and expanding the perception of space.

Thus, the store instils a sensory and visually stimulating experience for the users that reflects the brand's identity.
