Heat pumps: A clear positioning Junkers Bosch launches first air/water heat pumps Compress 7000i AW and 8000i AW with Bosch logo / New DHW heat pumps Compress 4000 DW and 5000 DW They work very efficiently, feature a modern design, are operated intuitively and may be controlled via Internet: The modulating air/water heat pumps Compress 7000i AW and 8000i AW are the first devices marketed under the well-known Bosch brand by Junkers Bosch in Germany. The new DHW heat pumps also carry a new logo and name: The Compress 4000 DW and 5000 DW supply flats and single-family homes with hot water all year round.

Flexible solution The Compress 7000i AW and 8000i AW from Junkers Bosch are available for outdoor and indoor installation. While the version for outdoor installation is immediately available, the market launch of the version for indoor installation is scheduled for summer 2017. Junkers Bosch has made it easy for trade partners to install the heat: The extremely light casing is made of EPP foam (expanded polypropylene). All external units can be combined with different internal units. Thanks to their preconfiguration, they can be installed very quickly. The space-saving internal units are designed for flexible installation. The wall-mounted internal unit for new buildings (AWE) is equipped with an electric booster heater which ensures that heat and domestic hot water are supplied when needed. The wall-mounted internal unit for the modernisation of existing buildings (AWB) is designed for bivalent operation and can be combined with an existing boiler. The floor-standing compact module with integrated stainless steel DHW storage tank can optionally be connected to a solar system (AWM and AWMS).

Intuitively simple operation – even online The touch screen control panel with clear text display guides the user intuitively through the basic settings. Home owners and residents can control the heat pump even more easily via their smartphone or tablet computer, as the “i” in the name of the Compress 7000i AW and 8000i AW indicates that the devices are Internet-ready. The heat pumps can therefore also be effortlessly integrated into existing or future smart home solutions.

Excellent energy efficiency The Compress 7000i AW and 8000i AW are monoblock air/water heat pumps with modulating external unit and excellent energy efficiency: The Compress 7000i AW 6 with a rated output of 6.2 kilowatts (at A-7/W35 according to EN14511), for instance, achieves a seasonal space heating energy efficiency of 145 percent, which corresponds to energy efficiency class A++ (based on the average climate according to the Ecodesign Directive). The heat pumps reach this high efficiency thanks to a speed-controlled compressor which ensures that only the amount of energy that is actually required is supplied.

Junkers Bosch offers the Compress 7000i AW with a maximum heating output of 6, 8, 11 or 12 kilowatts. In addition, the Compress 8000i AW is available with a maximum heating output of 7 or 13 kilowatts. The Compress 8000i AW is particularly suited for extremely cold weather: Even at outside temperatures below -15 degrees Celsius, it achieves flow temperatures of up to 58 degrees Celsius without an electric booster. At 4 degrees Celsius or more, it even reaches a flow temperature of 65 degrees Celsius. This allows it to be combined with radiators for the distribution of heat, making it the ideal choice for modernisation projects. At high outdoor temperatures during the summer, the Compress 7000i AW and 8000i AW can also be used to cool the home.

New DHW heat pumps The new DHW heat pumps Compress 4000 DW and 5000 DW offer high hot water comfort. Their owners benefit from free heat from the environment and high energy savings. The Compress heat pumps have an integrated storage tank which covers a household’s domestic hot water needs. Both models can be easily connected to a gas or oil boiler or a solar system. If combined with a photovoltaic system, the Compress 4000 DW and 5000 DW can also be operated with self-generated electric power.

The 270-litre storage tank of the Compress 5000 DW is suited for bigger households. This heat pump is available as a version using indoor air or one using outdoor air. The Compress 4000 DW for indoor air usage is also an ideal solution for the modernisation of homes. Thanks to its compact dimensions and lateral air channels, it can also be installed in rooms with low ceilings.

Junkers and Bosch – close partnership Like all new products of the Junkers Bosch brand, the heat pumps carry the Bosch logo. After 80 years of partnership, Junkers thus puts even greater emphasis on being part of Bosch and benefits from the innovativeness and expertise of this well-known company. The positioning of Junkers Bosch will, however, remain unchanged: The focus will continue to be on intuitively simple heating technology solutions.
