The new GES R2 floor sockets Compact underfloor solutions with improved features

The new, round GES R2 floor sockets from Ackermann made by OBO boast more installation space, two additional types of cover, and a screed box with 3-point height adjustment. GES R2 floor sockets are ideal for areas that need to be supplied inconspicuously with power and data – in private residences as well as public areas such as foyers and shopping centres. More space for installation The space for installation is now twice what it was in the predecessor model, the GESRM2: the installation box in the GES R2 floor socket now accommodates a double socket belonging to the Modul 45 series. There is also space for up to two data technology elements. An efficient design inside the installation box has provided more space for installation, while the overall size of the GES R2 floor sockets is only fractionally bigger. Additional cover versions: tube body and cord outlet The folding metal cover on the previous model has been revised for the GES R2 floor sockets. The cover snaps into place, which safeguards outgoing cables. Two additional cover versions increase the ways in which the GES R2 floor sockets may be used. A version with a tube body is suitable for floors that are cleaned wet. The tube body protects the installation space against water ingress not only when it is closed, but also when the tube body cover is opened to let wires out. The GES R2 floor socket’s plastic outlet is now available with a cord outlet, which allows cables to run out permanently and supply electrical equipment. Screed box with 3-point height adjustment A height-adjustable screed box accommodates the device insert when the GES R2 floor socket is installed in screed. This screed box can be adjusted precisely to the top edge of the screed using its simple 3-point height-adjustment system and can be used as a drawing-off edge for laying screed. A large area sitting on top of the screed allows the unit to carry heavy loads.
