Policronica's multidisciplinary team has reimagined a building in the heart of Montmartre, Paris, using a single wood species as the foundation of the design.
The 850-square-metre space reflects the studio's distinctive style, showcasing a cohesive monochromatic palette with striking architectural woodwork and bespoke furniture design.

Almost every detail of the hotel’s interior was custom-designed and meticulously crafted at Policronica's Lisbon workshop, incorporating warm and raw materials like wood, plant fibers, brass, and neutral fabrics. The studio sought to establish a clean, organic aesthetic across all 16 rooms of Hotel Elysée Montmartre.

This project is not only a celebration of craftsmanship but also a bold reevaluation of Portuguese eucalyptus wood — traditionally used for papermaking — demonstrating its ability to elevate interior design with a sustainable, thoughtful approach.
