The wall-mounted tap series designed by 967arch collection stems from a desire to express Fantini’s core values, translating aesthetic purity and a design-drive approach into an object that is both refined and instantly recognizable. The initial idea was to reduce the act of releasing water to a single essential gesture, eliminating anything superfluous.
This exploration led to a central theme: the disappearance of the technical component. The goal was not simply to conceal it, but to integrate it completely until it merged with the product’s formal expression. This required work on the geometrics and alignment of the spout, valve body, and control system, balancing technical constraints with design intent.
“The pursuit of purity in lines and volumes,” says the designers, “is essential to the nature of a contract project, led us to define a series of new taps as a natural extension of the Nostromo collection, albeit starting from a completely different technical approach, yet always in keeping with the Fantini aesthetic.”
The series is available in both an electronic version, which guarantees intuitive, hygienic and water-saving use, and a mechanical version with a progressive cartridge, which allows for smooth and precise control of temperature and flow.
Intended primarily for the hospitality sector and public spaces, the electronic tap model is also suitable for domestic use. The water is turned on and off by an innovative laser sensor, which is far more precise than infrared sensors. Lless sensitive to shadows, it identifies the presence of hands in front of it with greater accuracy rather than the amount of light around the tap, and is more responsive when turning the water on and off.
