WOVEN METAL, YOU ROCK!

THE EVOLUTION OF " METALLO TESSUTO" IN THE NEW INVERSO COLLECTION

Premiered at the 2023 Salone del Mobile, GESSI's new INVERSO Collection expands the range of creations characterized by "METALLO TESSUTO" (Eng. Woven Metal) patterns and becomes a synthesis of its original journey based on unique and distinctive values.

The company, a leader in the industry and an emblem of Made in Italy, is recognized for bringing strong and constant innovation into the most intimate spaces of living since its foundation in 1992: innovations that became landmarks in the sector and real icons in the world of design.

With INVERSO, a new chapter in the history of bathroom furnishings is told through the language of fashion. A story beginning in 2002 with the Rettangolo collection: the time when GESSI introduced squared and linear forms for the very first time in the sector, pioneering a path that many have since followed. In 2017, with the absolute novelty of "Woven Metal," it enriched the surfaces of its creations with processes reminiscent of typically Made in Italy craftsmanship, from textiles to leather goods, from mechanics to jewellery.

Riding the wave of the great success of collections decorated with Woven Metal – from Gessi 316 to Spotwater, Shower G hardware, Limited Edition Flush Plates, Home Decor collection of vases and fragrance diffusers, and Habito collection – the INVERSO collection comes to life.

The collection encapsulates the defining elements of the brand, in a journey that brings two otherwise contrasting geometric shapes – rectangles and circles – together in an indissoluble union. The cylindrical shape of the body combined with the square base it sits on, the super-thin spout and the decorative lever leads to an extreme lightness and cleanliness of form, emblematic of minimalism and the purity of lines.

A sign of innovation in INVERSO is also conveyed by the re-imagined ergonomics of the mixer’s operation, which, in a familiar gesture, provides a new sensation enriched by the sensuality of textures, resulting in extreme ease of use and functionality.

The collection INVERSO, translating to “Reverse” in English, uses the textures of “Woven Metal” RIGATO and DIAMANTATO, as the design allows the textures to express their unique characteristics with the interaction of the perpendicular rectangular planes of the spout and handle:

-RIGATO further accentuates the play of perspective lines

-DIAMANTATO creates reflections of light, especially in the polished version

In all finish and texture variations, the minimal and pure forms of INVERSO are ideal for furnishing metropolitan interiors that express avant-garde. An expression of GESSI's craftsmanship, each element of the collections design is indicative of the thirty-year experience of a company unique in the international lifestyle scene.
