The designer Simon Legald has put storage in the hot seat with a series of furniture that solves even more storage needs in the home. The Kabino sideboard’s well-considered details are continued in the form of a bedside table, a sideboard with drawers and two dressers with five and six drawers respectively. The many small details of the designs help create a visual break in the uniform surface of the front and add dynamics. A frame of ash softens the industrial expression and adds warmth and exclusivity. The signature open handles in doors and drawers give an integrated look. Similar to the original Kabino, the new sideboard with drawers has perforated holes in the one sliding door, which gives a visual elegance. Both sideboards have an inbuilt cable outlet, making them ideal as hifi furniture. The two dressers are good storage solutions in the living room and the bedroom, while the bedside tables will look great next to the bed or in the hall as a little sidetable. All the drawers have a soft close function, which means that they close silently. Simon Legald says: “I wanted to develop the minimalistic idiom of Kabino further to create a versatile and functional furniture series. The different items make it possible to fall in love with Kabino’s expression and then choose the exact piece of furniture that suits your individual needs. If you choose several pieces, you easily create a coherent look in your interior.”
