Malù — in Italian an acronym for light in the sea — evokes the image of a shell protecting a pearl. The project stems from this suggestion: a compact volume that opens up into two distinct but united entities, protecting what is intimate and personal.
Externally, it appears as a pure and essential metal monovolume.
A thin slit marks the separation between the two elements, maintaining a unified and rigorous aesthetic.
The mirrore surface reflects the surrounding environment, visually engaging it and amplifying the perception of space.
Beneath it, a shelf slides horizontally on two guides, without the aid of complex mechanisms: a design solution that guarantees simplicity, reliability and durability over time.
The wide, natural opening from above redefines the everyday gesture of storing items, transforming it into a fluid and unexpected experience.
