The Modular Limited Use Limited Application, or Modular LULA elevator from MEM is designed as a self-contained, freestanding unit that can be delivered to a job site and installed in less than a day. The LULA has an integral machine room and is compliant in International Building Code (IBC) 2010 and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators A17.1-2004 standards.

MEM’s Modular LULA elevator is installed in conjunction with the MEM Modular Hoistway. In addition to LULA applications, the MEM Modular Hoistway can also be used for hydraulic or machine-room-less elevator installations.

The MEM LULA and Modular Hoistway can be customized for a project’s needs. Both can be installed as a freestanding unit or attached to the building as a single or multi-piece structure. The elevator and hoistway are available in a variety of configurations, with non-rated or one-hour rated walls.
