The shelves impress through their concept. On the basis of the kind of bookends that one finds in every library, Nitzan Cohen develops a whole set of shelves. Base and back form a module with which a set of shelves in almost any size can be constructed. Already the smallest individual part forms an element that in itself functions as a miniature shelf. The product is characterised by a slightly inclined base with side walls positioned at right angles on either end. That means books are always in their optimal position on the shelves, even in small groups. Even when a book is taken out, what happens is not what we all know and expect: the remaining books do not begin to fall over. nan15 is an ever expandable set of shelves, which also functions as a room divider. The clever arrangement of base and back makes both sides of the shelves an attractive structure in any living room or office.
