NOVECENTO | return to tradition through modern forms Novecento’s design reminds us of the bow lanterns that used to hang from the fishermen’s boats to attract and catch fish in warm summer nights. When you see them from shore, they look like fireflies in the dark and their beauty is enchanting. It is possible to create a long overhead line system involving many lights, which reminds us of the rural lighting traditions used in the farmyards. With this line, TOSCOT makes us think of those images in our today’s gardens and porches. Its design is minimal and simple, the materials used for each light are terracotta for the lamp base and blown glass for the bulb. Terracotta’s colours are glazed - either glossy or matte - and cold tempera with beeswax amber finish is used. Novecento is perfect for both town flats and country homes or for everyone who wishes to develop a cosy and suffused ambience.
