Plimode has a slim silhouette, making it suitable for the most elegant conference rooms; however, With33 upholstered color options and two body colors, Plimode also comes in styles for a lighter residential feel. The thin backrest contains an inner mesh structure that provides exceptional support, and with a synchro-reclining mechanism, Plimode inherits the comfort of a task chair. As a stylish chair with a comfortable “fit”, Plimode was designed to emulate bespoke tailored suiting. The elegant design and superior comfort made Plimode a favorite among designers. Last year, Plimode received a German Red Dot Award for exceptional product design. The Red Dot jury stated that the“high seating comfort, sturdy manufacture and select materials… characterize the quality” of Plimode. In 2015, Plimode also received the Japanese Good Design Award, which is awarded to products that embody innovation, sustainability and aesthetics. Plimode was recognized by the International Forum Design as a Universal Design Favorite by both experts and consumers. In Feb. 2016, iF recognized Plimode’s design excellence again with an iF Product Design Award. The award was assessed on criteria of execution, innovation and ergonomics of the chair. After the success of its release, Okamura plans to reveal some big additions to the elegant conference chair which will be displayed in Okamura’s showroom at NeoCon 2016. Plimode’s line extension includes options for a high back and polished aluminum frame. Plimode will also be offered with options for a four-star glide base model that keeps the boardroom orderly at all times. These luxurious new options are intended for high-end conference rooms. Consistent with the original Plimode, the new options look delicate, but provide the same comfortable experience.
