Our Quarts brick is unique in a lot of ways. Due to the special second treatment in our oven the brick gets its distinctive grey color.
The color is not just on the surface of the brick, it goes all the way to the center of the brick. This means the brick will keep its color for eternity.
The Quarts HV HF bricks can feature these unique characteristics:
- A size of 240 x 100 x 40 mm
- Low water absorption or porosity of <7%.
- An initial water absorption of 0.5-1.5
- The surface texture is obtained by mechanically imitating the age-old process of throwing a ball of clay into a firing mould.
- Because this brick was heated a second time before the smothering process, it meets the strictest quality standards.
