Rocchetto is an iconic product, born of the creative flair of Mendini, who described it in these terms: «Ceramics as used by Flaminia is a strong and very beautiful material that conveys a pleasant feeling of fullness to the touch.
The compact shape of these stools in the form of a spool is also designed to get across this creamy effect, and the same applies to the choice of colours and decor. The spool is generated by a central cylinder ending in two half-spheres, a classic, elementary and symmetrical shape, projecting a stable and safe image. I wanted to create a small, multi-use furnishing accessory, neutral but also symbolic in the sense of coming across as a “friendly object”
