Mauro Lipparini debuts in the Giorgetti collection with his interpretation of the storage unit. SHIBUSA is a multifaceted project, a distinct and elegant companion that looks towards the future of living, recalling the ever-present reality of the home office, the ritual that accompanies the preparation of a cocktail, but also the intimacy of a bedroom.

A piece of furniture rich in details, resulting from a complex constructive research, especially with regard to the creation of the side elements: from the definition of the radius of curvature of the aluminium profile which forms the door, which is then crafted, bent, painted and covered in leather, to the curved glass doors of very reduced thickness inserted in the structure, to the study of tolerances to combine all the different materials.
Shibusa is available in three versions and, depending on the details and accessories, can be declined into a home office secretaire, a bar cabinet or a multifunctional showcase. All available versions have the same central drawer and differ in the equipment of the lower and upper parts. The home office version features a pull-out leather top that turns the sideboard into a writing desk, with shelves in the upper part and open compartments in the lower part.
In the living area the sideboard has shelves and doors, with handles in a sophisticated cracklé pattern inspired by porcelain. For more intimate and reserved spaces, the sideboard in its third variant can have storage compartments in the lower part.
Shibusa's scenographic qualities are accomplished through the light: the back, made of grey striped glass in the combination of materials typical of Giorgetti's collections, has four vertical LED profiles to enhance the silhouettes of bottles or other precious objects stored inside. The side elements are also equipped with LED light. 2 The interiors and shelves with rounded edges are in ash wood, while the base is in pewter finish painted metal. Shibusa is a piece of furniture that explores space and weaves a wonderful dialogue with its environment. In the pursuit of detail, it expresses a perfect balance between form and function.
