The STX2.50 is our smallest Xicato based surface mount spot light with Ø50mm optics and accessories. This fitting accepts both the XTM module and XIM module in a variety of outputs, colour temperatures and in Artist Series, Standard Series and Vibrant Series variants. Optics are easily interchangeable to offer beams from 17.9º to 39.1º. There is provision to add two further accessories and this fitting has just been complemented with the addition of a framing attachment.
The choice of XIM and XTM opens up a wealth of control options, particularly exciting at the moment being the option of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) control. As well as the already expected deep and smooth flicker-free dimming, BLE introduces a huge number of benefits through installation, commissioning, flexibility, interconnectivity, interoperability, sensor pairing, wireless switching and beacon integration to name just a few. As BLE lighting control builds momentum in markets such as museums and galleries, we are seeing this fitting and others in the family used for intelligent lighting applications that enhance the user experience, can be used in intelligent art work conservation scenarios (through lux and motion monitoring and response) and not to forget all without the need for costly and complicated wired control system installations.
The fitting itself comes with our robust construction, solid locks, flexibility on finish and the willingness to make project-specific tweaks. The STX2.50 offers a highly flexible proportion that can be specified to meet the individual needs of each application. It also sits alongside fittings in the Ø50mm family covering 230V track, low profile low voltage track and even exterior surface mount and recessed fittings.
