Design by Paolo Emilio Bellisario and Andrea Cingoli, TABHOLE is a table to increase the versatility of the worktop and create new relationships between the "above" and the "below" of the table, between the world of adults "above" and the world of the children "underneath" giving the children a space of their own to live as they want.
5 circular holes on the table top accommodate as many special "pockets". If, on the one hand, the adult uses the bags as containers or the holes for the passage of cables to use the PC at home, on the other the bags create a microcosm under the table top for the little ones, where they can play or watch the world of adults through a porthole. There is also a green alternative: using the holes to create a small domestic undergrowth with potted plants or shrubs where you can have a picnic to the delight of adults and children.
When necessary, thanks to the use of simple snap buttons, all the bags can be easily removed or replaced, adapting the table to both different furnishing styles and the tastes and needs of adults. It should be underlined that the table is designed to be created thanks to the collaboration and interaction of Italian artisan workshops. It is precisely the mix of these skills that represents an added and precious value for the project.
