The Bride's luscious braids are gently manipulated into the gloriously elegant shape of a swooping Victorian hat, its strongly sculptural qualities accentuated by the textured surface of the braids which intertwine in flowing twists and turns. As a result, the emitted light not only spills through where the woven braids briefly separate, but also glows through the twisted paper, giving the entire object a semi translucency and an organic airy lightness which is utterly beguiling. Entirely handmade, each Bride's individual personality is characterised by the unique weave pattern of her shade.
