Each mattress in this new design is generously hand-filled with Platinum Certified pure British fleece wool, sourced from the Devonshire countryside, where Vispring’s factory is located. Devonshire wool is wonderfully sustainable, as it is obtained from annual shearing. This is in no way harmful to the sheep, but is a crucial part of good animal husbandry.
Vispring uses more British fleece wool than any other bed-maker in the world and, as a proud supporter of HRH Prince of Wales’ Campaign for Wool, is committed to preserving the UK’s precious wool industry.
The Devonshire is handcrafted in Vispring’s Devon factory by master craftsman using artisan skills, which have been perfected over the last 110 years.
Each mattress is stitched by hand – a process which takes up to eight hours – and tailored to suit an individual’s exact requirements to create Vispring’s signature level of comfort.
The Devonshire partners the De Luxe Wool Divan. The divan contains a layered box-spring system. This works harmoniously with the mattress to form a responsive unit; reacting to movement throughout the night, and ensuring the correct level of support and comfort is maintained, while minimising any disturbance from your partner.
