Webnet Micro by Jakob Rope Systems is a lightweight stainless-steel cable-mesh system manufactured from AISI 316/1.4401 stainless steel and available in fine rope diameters from one to two millimetres. The flexible mesh can be manufactured to project-specific dimensions and geometries and is used for applications including balustrades, fall protection, façades, and other transparent safety enclosures. AISI 316 stainless steel provides high corrosion resistance, making the system suitable for long-term interior and exterior use.

Its sustainability benefits are primarily associated with durability, low maintenance requirements, material efficiency, and end-of-life recyclability. Jakob describes Webnet as weather-resistant, robust, and requiring virtually no maintenance; the product's Environmental Product Declaration likewise treats its use-phase impacts as negligible because it is a passive product requiring very little maintenance. The EPD models an end-of-life scenario in which 95 percent of the stainless-steel product is recycled and five percent is landfilled.

Webnet Micro is covered by Jakob Rope Systems’ independently third-party-verified Environmental Product Declaration for the Webnet product family, prepared in accordance with ISO 14025 and EN 15804+A2.
