017 Store

017 STORE, an urban style space in the heart of Bilbao
Located next to the emblematic Isozaki Towers, 017 STORE emerges as a benchmark for streetwear, art and design in Bilbao. In a 180 m² space, designed by interior designer Jon Koldobika Blanco of Zenta 21 Proyectos y Equipamientos, this shop fuses fashion and urban culture in an environment that reinterprets the concept of contemporary retail.

The starting point for the transformation project of these premises was a space originally intended for a workshop for assembling sound equipment for vehicles, with a layout that divided the space into two areas: workshop and offices. Now, the entire premises has been reconverted into a fashion shop that maximises fluidity and visibility. Its open layout allows for an intuitive route, while a raised barbershop has been integrated in the rear area, maintaining the connection with the existing communal garage.

The exterior of 017 STORE is marked by a façade of industrial aesthetics, with varnished metal profiles that project solidity and elegance. The diagonal signage and the large access door reinforce the visual openness of the space, inviting the visitor to discover its interior.

The interior, a sensory journey between the modern and the eclectic
From the entrance, the white marble herringbone floor traces a longitudinal axis that directs the gaze towards the back of the premises, creating a sensation of spaciousness and light, generated by a continuous backlit ceiling solution. One of the most characteristic corners of the establishment is at the end of the premises, where a collection of Art Toys is displayed on floating shelves of metal laminate and mirror, which visually multiply the space and create a dialogue between contemporary design and pop culture.

On the right, the fitting rooms are presented as a scenographic element: their vertical opening doors, inspired by wings, provide an avant-garde wink. A customised wallpaper covering reinforces the visual identity of the space, while metal displays and hangers suspended on steel cables add lightness and dynamism.

At the local entrance, two parallel and staggered displays direct the view and flank the main counter, while the hangers suspended around the perimeter by steel cables provide a visual lightness that leaves the floor free. These metallic elements combined with the built-in LED lighting result in a minimalist and elegant ambience.

Innovation in every detail
The backlit stretch ceiling and the internal light trusses provide a soft and enveloping illumination that complements the architecture of the premises. The layout of the space has been carefully thought out to maximise functionality without sacrificing style. The air-conditioning, discreetly integrated into a low storage area with backlit glass partitioning, reinforces the sense of a clean and tidy atmosphere.

The barber's shop, a haven of warmth and style
Through an iron gate with geometric shapes, you enter the barber's shop, where the materials change towards a warmer atmosphere. Walnut wood laminate panels and ergonomic furniture create a cosy atmosphere, in contrast to the industrial aesthetics of the rest of the premises. An open balcony maintains the visual connection with the shop, ensuring aesthetic and functional continuity.

017 STORE is not just a shop, but a conceptual experience. Under the slogan ‘a question of concept’, the Bilbao interior design studio Zenta 21 has designed an environment that goes beyond simple shopping, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in a universe where fashion, art and design converge.

The branding, developed by Estudio Ainara Ipiña, merges with the interior design, taking shape in decorative elements, signage and personalised wallpaper. The result is a coherent and distinctive visual identity that makes 017 STORE a benchmark in contemporary urban retail.
017 STORE redefines the shopping experience, establishing an emotional connection with its visitors through innovative design and a value proposition that transcends fashion.
