Untouched for almost fifty years, this dilapidated townhouse had no heating, almost no electrical system and a poor layout. Stripping back the house to its bare bones allowed for the creation of a beautiful and bright family home. Re-positioning the front door and removing the external staircase opened up the ground floor which now houses an open plan kitchen and dining space with access into the garden, as well as utility, WC and store rooms. The rest of the house was intelligently re-modelled, creating a new en-suite bathroom, a little boy’s dream bedroom and modernising the remaining rooms. It was important to retain the original features, whilst complementing them with modern touches and bespoke furniture.
