27 Summit | The New Luxury Tower Soaring in Bangalore’s Skyline

SOG design as Architects

Bangalore, commonly referred to as India's Garden City, is a thriving urban centre distinguished by its continually evolving cityscape and rich cultural fabric. In response to the escalating demand for upscale residential properties, the client endeavoured to establish pioneering luxury apartments that seamlessly integrate essential sustainable principles, resulting in the development of 27 Summit.

This high-rise residential tower, inspired by the form of the Banyan trees, serves as a discreetly extravagant retreat within the bustling cityscape. It features metropolitan sophistication coupled with the tranquillity reminiscent of a resort.

27 Summit constitutes an exceptional high-rise tri-wing structure exquisitely nestled amid the verdant core of Bangalore's Central Business District. Here, residents savour a sustainable and opulent living experience enhanced by exemplary design, state-of-the-art facilities, and superb connectivity.

Demonstrating a steadfast commitment to passive sustainable design, fully ventilated corridors, and contemporary amenities, 27 Summit epitomises a forward-looking approach while paying homage to Bangalore's historically affluent architectural lineage.

27 Summit is currently undergoing construction.

A Design Concept Rooted in Nature & Culture

"Villas in the sky" represented the core of 27 Summit, drawing inspiration from the 2.6 acres of natural, verdant surroundings on the site. The concept of a geometric tree design became the foundation of this project, mirroring the organic beauty of the site's lush trees.

27 Summit offers a luxurious living experience with its 'villas in the sky' concept. The three towers provide an unobstructed 360-degree view of Bangalore's skyline, and the occupants enjoy expansive double-height luxury apartments within an interlocking architectural structure. The addition of lush trees on numerous sky garden levels and private residential decks creates a tranquil and natural atmosphere, enhancing the luxury of the living space.

Connecting the three towers was a central atrium, well-ventilated corridors, and sky bridges. The design seamlessly incorporated marble, gold accents, and a nod to the timeless charm of Bangalore's heritage buildings, resulting in a perfect fusion of tradition and grandeur.

Every design element contributed to a harmonious blend of greenery, modernity, and exclusivity within the space. The precise geometrical and symmetrical layout allowed for the seamless integration of 30 high-end, world-class amenities, including swimming pools, saunas, a driving range, and even urban farming facilities, providing an experience tailored exclusively for the residents. The pinnacle of the luxury property is a stunning infinity-edge pool in the shape of a boomerang, adding a touch of grace and sophistication.

With 81% open space and an unobstructed 360-degree view of nature, the luxurious apartments of 27 Summit truly embody the concept of "villas in the sky," offering an extraordinary living experience.

Redefining Sustainable Luxury Living

To stand out above the sea of luxury apartments, the client wanted 27 Summit to represent the values of real estate development in modern India - integrating sustainability into luxury living.

Adorned with 108 trees, including the regal rain trees, the exquisite landscape teemed with biodiversity. The majestic raintrees accentuate the beauty of the surroundings, creating a haven for residents. Most existing trees were retained. Others that were on the building's footprint were thoughtfully transplanted.

By strategically positioning the building footprint and creating lush vegetation barriers around the parameter, we ensured 27 Summit's immediate visibility from adjacent older buildings.

Solar panels to support sustainability and features of urban farming, recycling, and waste management were integral components, along with rainwater harvesting, water recycling, and energy-efficient practices.

27 Summit is a recognised sustainable residential project that has won multiple awards in the real estate industry.

"From the initial visit, we set high standards with the client. After the last visit, we surpassed them by creating some unique spaces and compositions I had barely or never seen before.

The size of each unit was shocking during the first visit to the show flat. It reminded me of a big house or mansion in the countryside. Still, in this case, these are repeated and elevated: a true feeling of villas in the sky.

We really enjoyed the workshop and design process with the clients. Their vision was inspiring for us."
