Our clients (a young Italian family living abroad) were searching for a very versatile second home: a comfortable place to live during their rare visits to Italy but also suitable for occasional guests, for short rentals throughout the year.

The challenge was to design a flat for different users with different needs.

We imagined a distribution as fluid as possible, focused on the living area with an open kitchen, where the sofa can be transformed into a doublebed, and from which you can directly access the large double bedroom through a concealed door, further camouflaged with scenic wallpaper of a romantic Parisian landscape.

In the master bedroom the high ceilings suggested the creation of a wooden custom-made multifunctional furniture: a micro building that houses inside a walk-in closet for the owners, in front of the bed a wardrobe for guests, on top a third bed and a desk, designed as a small alcove, hidden from the rest of the house.
