ABC Westland - Poeldijk

Agro Business Center (ABC) Westland commissioned ConsortArchitects to renovate the façade of an existing office and warehouse and designing a connecting new hall. The new building was realized on exact the same footprint as the old one, therefore being sustainable. Original dock boards were maintained and were connected to the new and 8000 sqm large hall. The sustainable character is augmented by a series of solutions, like the thick isolation for the façade, creating a low isolation value of 3,5, and the chosen white as a rooftop color: cooler during summertime and thus energy saving.
