Alberta Boilers Safety Association (ABSA) engaged us to construct a new head office that would reflect their forward-looking attitude, and environmental consciousness.
The resulting building, located in the Edmonton Research Park, is a work of bold and contemporary architecture that celebrates fresh and simple design, as well as sustainable principles.
In keeping with ABSA’s desire to foster sustainability, operable windows that allow natural air circulation in the building were installed, along with a high-performance building envelope. Even the orientation of the office was selected based on the opportunity it provided to capture breezes, and harness sunlight.
Inside the building, under-floor air distribution and attractive workspaces solidify and celebrate ABSA’s values and aesthetics. This project allows ABSA to express their identity to the community, and engage with the surrounding environment in a sustainable relationship.
