What was the brief?
A 2000 Sq ft workspace has been conceptualized as an extended cube. The office is for an upcoming condominium campus in a posh locality of the city. The entry to the building from the main roadside is located in the south direction. Accordingly keeping micro-climate as a major factor, entire space planning has been fragmented into connected courtyards from the inside and fewer openings in the south direction to make the building breathable and provide a cavity wall with a terrazzo finish above that becomes a feature of a building that reduces heat gain within that building by deflecting sunlight.

What were the key challenges?
The key challenge for the Adonis office is characterized by its linear side orientation resulted in linear spatial flow that optimizes movement and functionality, with a focus on creating microclimates within the building for enhanced user comfort and energy efficiency. To mitigate heat gain, there are fewer openings on the south side of the structure, while connections with courtyards provide green spaces and transitional zones. In order to ensure a seamless integration with the urban surroundings, the design also takes into account the presence of roads on two sides. In general, the Adonis office incorporates creative spatial planning to produce a unique and effective workspace that puts sustainability and occupant well-being first.

What materials did you choose and why?
To deliver the beauty and highlighting the strength and versatility, Terrazzo is chosen as ideal choice for facade seeking the balance among Sound barrier, durability, functionality and aesthetics for the site office.
