Aesop Store

Aesop Store

METRO Arquitetos Associados as Architects

These are the basic ideas that guided the project for this specific Aesop Store:

To preserve the visual impact of the flow of people on the main street, without too much emphasis on the street corner where the shop is located. The entrance of the store will be in the street façade. The address must clearly be Rua Oscar Freire, one of the most important retail streets in São Paulo.

To make the products - especially the small glasses - shine, revealing its peculiar colour, in a seductive way so as to generate the general public's curiosity. The goal is to create a kaleidoscopic glowing volume where the mirrored walls multiply the images thru movement inside this space.

To eliminate the central column as an object of interference. Given the inexorability of its existence our proposal is to transform it into a meeting point - a counter for the experimentation of Aesop’s essences in the form of a cloud, where a water fountain will be placed. This element should assume an unexpected and ludic character, far from the current domestic sinks.

To have a finely fragmented floor, as fallen leaves or small flowers, in order to create the right atmosphere.
