Designed by PS Design, this home came to life through a thoughtful and immersive journey. Every decision, every texture, and every detail was explored with care in close collaboration with the homeowners. From the meticulously crafted inlay flooring to the intricately detailed ceilings, from the expansive public spaces to the quietest private corners, nothing was left to chance. The result is a richly layered and visually captivating home where drama meets harmony and every surface invites curiosity while revealing a new story.
The idea was simple but bold – to create a home that feels unmistakably unique, expressive, and full of life. The clients welcomed unconventional ideas, daring colours, and playful textures, giving us the freedom to think creatively and push boundaries. Our love for combining materials and weaving layered narratives took shape in every corner. The multi-stone inlay flooring made of crema marfil, rosso levanto, and Indian green marble flows throughout the home like a geometric stage, setting the tone for an eclectic and cohesive journey. Dramatic wall and ceiling treatments, vivid wallpapers, and a stunning acid-washed metal panel by Scarlet Splendor add a sense of organic unpredictability, giving the interiors a theatrical yet deeply personal character.
Despite its compact size, the home embraces a rich mix of materials and colours that reflect curated warmth and opulence. The foyer welcomes you like a soft embrace, wrapped in handwoven wallpaper, with arched entrances and rounded ceiling corners that blur the line between walls, doors, and ceiling, creating a seamless flow of space. Emerald greens, rust oranges, and avocado tones become recurring stars, each bringing its own personality. The powder room becomes an adventure in green with glossy subway tiles and a striking stone countertop. The children’s bedroom feels like a joyful storybook, where playful wallpaper and a custom bedback design flow up to the ceiling, creating a space full of wonder and imagination.
The kitchen continues this story, where the inlay flooring carries through, a forest green quartzite countertop adds depth, and a KitKat tile backsplash brings texture and character. But the living room is where the home’s spirit truly comes alive. Patterned flooring, textured wallpapers, warm wooden ceiling details, and that signature Scarlet Splendor metal wall work together in a vibrant and layered expression of design. It became our most joyful challenge, blending bold contrasts into perfect harmony.
Every detail was chosen with purpose. A custom-designed dining cabinet doubles as a bar, bringing function and intimacy together. Brass panels, exotic stones, and wooden cabinetry each play their part, adding character and story to the space. Pieces sourced from across the globe – Portuguese chandeliers, Jaipur Rugs, wall sconces by Shailesh Rajpoot, textiles by Atmosphere and Bharat Furnishings, cushions by Sarita Handa, and accessories from Pottery Barn – add depth, personality, and a sense of the worldly eclectic.
This home is far more than a place to live. It is a theatrical, layered experience where bold character meets thoughtful craftsmanship. Every material, colour, and texture is given its moment, inviting you not just to live but to feel. It is a celebration of fearless creativity, layered complexity, and timeless elegance.
