Antara has an array of dining experiences that address the kitchen as stage. Banquette dining and communal tables for convivial sit down, slow dining, or benches and leaning rails for a quick, stand up coffee and early morning treat at the window watching the city come to life.

Antara’s design supports and celebrates its 24hr production of baked goods. Structured by the process and sequence of pastry and baking, what usually goes on behind the scenes is here on show, providing an enticing spectacle and delight for diners as well as passers-by on Exhibition Street. Crafted industrial baking ‘machines’ anchor the space and produce delicate pastry that travels through the production sequence, evident to customers who can buy produce direct from the cooling racks at the end of the line.

The use of bronze glass partitions with slender steel frames separates the kitchen while maintaining a unified view. Timber and leather furnishings create a cozy atmosphere reminiscent of fresh baked goods. Victorian Ash was chosen for dining touch-points, emphasizing sustainability and local sourcing. The existing concrete’s natural patina pairs with refined joinery. A unifying dark green curtain adds depth and connects dining areas. Thoughtful lighting enhances materials and spaces, adapted to each zone’s purpose.
