This is the entrance to the office of a venture company with an average employee age of 26. At this entrance, I wanted to simultaneously express both the opposing elements of the feelings of trustworthiness and safety that a company needs as well as its growing power and aspirations.
First of all, I wanted to create an expression of calm and serenity by creating a general perception of the space by using wood and plastering materials for the walls. Next, by having the furniture embody actions that are carried out at the office entrance, such as calling someone, waiting, talking, chatting while standing, and exchanging documents, and by combining slightly shifted basic geometrical shapes, I represented the notions of dynamism as well as challenges. By giving the walls and furniture their own disparate purposes, I feel that these contradictory spatial elements can be experienced with a sense of unity.
