Apartamento Paim

This project was ordered by the client before the building was even ready. This always gives us more time and possibilities to think about the different options that the project can offer.
The layout of the apartment was already functional, but we opted for a drastic change. We removed a bedroom and brought the kitchen to the living room, in addition to integrating the balcony with the living and dining room.

With this change, we gained space to create a bathroom next to the entrance door, which we have “hidden” with a beautiful carpentry panel and the mimicked door, providing access to both the bathroom and the suite.
All these changes resulted in a connected apartment, so that the living room, dining room and kitchen were integrated, with a beautiful glassed-in balcony that frames the view of downtown São Paulo.

The use of furniture making is striking in all environments, so it was designed to maximize its functionality and aesthetics. Highlight for the kitchen, in which the refrigerator was built-in, as well as the washing machine, clothesline and air conditioning condenser. Everything was designed to be functional and add more style to the space. The use of natural oak also added greater lightness.
In the TV room, the highlight was the curtains built into the ceiling, creating a space that, when necessary, can be closed to create a guest room. Furthermore, the sofa was designed and executed in a unique way, transforming into a bed when necessary.

In the suite, the highpoint is the blue woodwork over the bed, with an intimate air and highlighting the headboard. The light paintwork and porcelain flooring make the space welcoming and functional.
In the suite's bathroom, the entrance door was redesigned, so we created a sliding door with milky glass to bring natural lighting and connection to the bedroom. The burnt cement porcelain tile highlights the shower, with its beautiful excavated niche and ceiling shower, in addition to the countertop and joinery that bring lightness and functionality.

Finally, the lavatory stands out not only for its access through the mimicked door, but for its green paint and use of wallpaper, highlighting the environment and its personality. The countertop occupying the entire length and the carved basin bring the same language as the suite's bathroom, and complete this environment.
The entire project and execution of the work was a unique process, in which the client and her family played a fundamental role, creating a light and welcoming environment. The use of colors, textures and joinery added not only aesthetics to the project, but functionality to the apartment and its use.
