While developing an interior design project in a modern residential house we have sought to retain the harmony relationship with Vilnius old town. At the same time we were aiming at the usage of new materials and unexpected combinations. Therefore, we have decided to create a refined and decorative interior.
Existing layout of the apartment was only slightly modified. To create spacious bathroom the bathtub was replaced with a shower cubicle, the washing machine was moved to pantry. A few niches were formed to locate integrated furniture.
Monochrome background enhances rich colours and allows the artworks to stand out. Cold grey tones are balanced by velvet fabrics which also make a contrast to the textured ceiling. French parquet maintain the stylistic continuity in the whole apartment while brushed copper surfaces and black metal elemets adds a roughness.
