Studio Vapore was tasked with renovating the art classroom for middle and high school students at WAB, the Western Academy of Beijing. Drawing inspiration from the ambiance of a genuine artist's atelier, the objective was to craft an environment that is not only inspirational but also fully equipped for artistic creation.
Central to this design was an innovative lighting solution. Studio Vapore achieved a natural, evenly distributed light throughout the space by combining north-facing windows with a backlit stretch ceiling, reminiscent of professional art studios. The classrooms are also equipped with wall-mounted storage for art supplies, ensuring an organized and efficient workspace.
