Anaplasi Consulting Engineers S.A. designed and supervised the Balghailam Bubble works Laundry Building, located in Musafah, industrial zone of Abu Dhabi, with total buit up area 7000m2
The construction of the project was divided into 3 phases. The first phase was executed on 2012-2013 where the scope of works was the design and supervision of the industrial building together with several service buildings which serve mostly hotels’ linens, garments, towels etc. The building is divided into two functional entities: Industrial and Offices. It houses the Linen Production Area and the Garment Factory, the Treatment Room, the Chemical Store, the Linen Room offices and the ancillary staff facilities.
The second phase was dedicated to the installation of the machinery inside the building.
The third phase was executed on 2014-2015, where the scope of works was the design and supervision of an additional part to the primary building for serving mostly hospitals’ linens, garments, towels etc. Dirty and clean zones cooperate separately.
Anaplasi Consulting Engineers focused on achieving the best possible function of the laundry through machinery network and space division, while each space has different colour and each employee may have enough space to work, move, rest etc.
Energy sufficiency was the aim of the designers. Externally the building’s appearance represents the basic colours of the Abu Dhabi land, that is, the beige of the sand and the blue of the sea.
