Galant I.D. Lda as Architects

The Yaroslav Galant innovative design studio finished work on an interior of delicatessen cafe with refined street food Bite &Go. Deli Cafe located in the center of Kiev. The place is completed in the smart industrial style created about seven years ago by the designer Yaroslav Galant.

Smart industrial – the bold eclecticism uniting modern materials and technologies, creative adaptation of elements of traditional styles, and also the principles of actual in the world sustainable design: the second life of the served subjects and materials in new functional quality, sustainability, respect for historical value of the environment.

Complexity of the task set for designers consisted in need of placement of a certain quantity of seats in narrow and long space. As a result, along with ergonomic planning, there were used the actions which expanded the room at the level of feelings.

Authors of the project bared an original bricklaying, left an arch form of an entrance and parts of overlappings. Supporting a building architecture, designers used smooth bends of lines in elements of lamps with plafonds from the real buckets for ice of the 60th years. As the main lighting of the hall there were used glass suspended lamps of the 1890th years.

The ceramic insulators, found on utilization factory warehouse, which material causes pleasant visual and tactile associations with dishes, and forms even are futuristic, became mountings for tables.

Atmospheric and functional industrial elements - the metal columns, open air ducts, an external electrical wiring, armored glass, mountings for sofa casted from concrete.

The wavy floor, developed by Yaroslav, in a zone of open kitchen is made of an ash-tree and covered by eco-friendly oil-wax, as well as all other wooden elements of an interior.

The main part of open kitchen is made of an artificial Corian stone, contrasting with furniture of the hall, - high-technology, hygienic material which repeated a silhouette of ceramic insulators.
