Designed by architects and urban planners Marina Carvalho (UP, 2010) and Thalita Peron (UP, 2009), the interior design project by bo. arch studio for a 288 m² apartment in Curitiba was based on a contemporary desire: to create a truly metropolitan respite. Located in Bluh – Barigui Lake Unique Home, the property underwent a complete restructuring to meet the needs of a family looking for a fluid, well-lit home that combined the rhythm of the city with a refugee atmosphere.
The starting point was the readjustment of the original layout, which resulted in an exclusive floor plan, capable of offering more privacy and comfort between the spaces. This transformation was guided by carefully designed carpentry to enhance the circulation and fluidity of the spaces. Among the key elements of the project, the lacquer panel with pleated carpentry that integrates the living and dining areas stands out, produced by SCA Curitiba, the firm's partner supplier.
With a palette of neutral and light tones, the chromatic proposal aims to provide feelings of calm and well-being. The natural materials, chosen with precision, reinforce this concept, creating a serene, sophisticated and welcoming ambiance. The lighting, developed in partnership with Light & Co, was designed to integrate with the architecture to highlight the carpentry, enhance works of art and provide functional and soft light, adjusted to the vocation of each environment.
More than just an interior design project, Bo.arch Studio’s proposal represents a way of living: light, conscious and connected to the surroundings. By combining aesthetics, functionality and careful use of space, Marina and Thalita deliver a sensitive interpretation of urban life — where living well is also a way of breathing better.
