Bombas Gets a Cheery, Offbeat Office to Match Their Ethos
NEW YORK, NY - Bombas, the rapidly expanding e-commerce sock brand, reached out to Float because of the studio’s history of building out spaces with a thoughtful growth plan and efficient use of space.
The HQ houses all operations of their direct to consumer business short of manufacturing. A navigable open office eliminates as many physical divisions as possible, matching their fluid organizational structure. The palette for the space has a huge array of texture and color to mimic the movement and variety in their product offerings and provide constant inspiration.
Bombas has a company culture full of idiosyncrasies so it was important to Float’s team that the space followed suit. They designed 9 ft. workstations to dot the open workspace surrounded by airy, custom shelving systems made of white, wiry grids that provide storage space and housing for greenery. Custom wallpaper lines the largest meeting room with an image of a hive and human-like bees that Bombas’ staff drew up to give the walls personality. Bleachers fabricated to fit the angles and curves of the town hall space add on-brand levity.
