The new headquarters of Brazil Journal, an economic news outlet located in São Paulo, Brazil, was developed by Patricia Martinez Arquitetura with the challenge of bringing together, in a single space, functions that had previously been separate: the newsroom occupied a different address and relied on an external podcast studio for its productions.

With a limited budget, the project needed to create an environment with its own identity, faithful to the brand's visual language. The response came through the incorporation of the outlet's colors, with its characteristic yellow applied to walls and leather details, the use of ebonized wood, and furniture with a contemporary line referencing Brazilian design, including pieces by Sérgio Rodrigues and other Brazilian designers.

The program was organized around five distinct purposes: focus for total concentration, spontaneous connections to strengthen company culture, continuous learning and knowledge exchange, virtual collaboration for effective meetings, and in-person collaboration to foster creativity and co-creation.

This structure guided the distribution of spaces across 304 m², which brings together a reception area, coffee area, informal meeting lounge, meeting rooms, phone booths, and a podcast studio — now integrated into the new headquarters with two independent sets, eliminating the need for the external rental the outlet previously maintained.

A singular element runs throughout the space: a curation of caricatures chosen by the team itself, intended to be continuously renewed. More than decoration, they function as a living record of the outlet's history.
