What was the brief?
To be as true to material and close to nature. The reference images shared by the clilent was to follow the earthen feel. 


What were the key challenges?
It was a tight site situated in the urbanest of urban setting.owrking in a small setting was the challenge and the fun.


What materials did you choose and why?
As the brief was for the house to look earthen we stuck with brick, wood, terracotta, mild steel and oxide finishes. It had to feel rich of  natural materials and look closest to the idea of home the clients had incorporating it all. 

 

Material Used :
1. Facade cladding: Brick lattice structure
2. Flooring: Kota sandstone and cement oxide
3. Doors: Wood
4. Windows: Louvered wood
5. Roofing: Exposed concrete and terracotta tiles 
6. Interior lighting: Standard can lights, Decorative lights in brass - Studio sasawata and AKFD studio
7. Interior furniture: Loose furniture by Woodlabs all in solid wood
