Mast Brothers Relaunches Its Brooklyn Flagship and Introduces Chocolate Beer     (New York, NY)  Mast Brothers, the New York-based chocolate makers, open the doors to its newly renovated Brooklyn flagship space where - in addition to its chocolate bars and confections - it will serve its latest creation: chocolate beer.   Mast Brothers’ Brooklyn flagship, located at 111 North 3rd Street in Williamsburg, offers a firsthand look at what makes Mast Brothers chocolate distinct and delicious. Amidst sacks of cocoa beans, spinning stone grinders, and a team of chocolate makers, guests can watch the entire chocolate-making process (daily tours). Now, in the newly configured space, visitors will not only be able to enjoy the chocolates and confections, but also Mast Brothers’ array of beverages.     Born from Mast Brothers’ commitment to innovation, the beer is brewed in-house with freshly roasted cacao, cane sugar, and water before being carbonated with nitrogen.  The result is a non-alcoholic, lightly sweetened, and refreshingly delicious beer with a creamy head.   Mast Brothers will launch with three signature chocolate beer varieties on tap.  They pay homage to their chocolate bar counterpart and include the following:   ·      Brooklyn Blend: the house beer; medium-bodied, with refreshing notes of citrus   ·      Tanzania: This single origin beer is brewed exclusively with beans sourced from its namesake; full-bodied, notes of rye and apple   ·      Vanilla: brewed with a hint of Bourbon vanilla   “The long history of chocolate beverages has been turned on its head with chocolate beer,” says Rick Mast.  “The future of drinking chocolate is incredibly refreshing, complex, and delicious.”   Complementing the changes to the flagship is the opening of Mast Brothers Chocolate Laboratory. Located at 105A North 3rd Street, the space will be dedicated to experimentation and innovation, where the team will continue to research, test and develop new chocolates, recipes and products.  It will also serve as an event space.
