The Bysteel FS, with 7000m2, is an industrial plant for the production of metal structures and facade envelopes located in the industrial complex of Dst Group, in Braga, Portugal.

With a rectangular configuration, the industrial building presents, in all its plans, translucent polycarbonate facades ensuring a natural luminosity into the production areas inside the plant.

This volume in translucent polycarbonate is, by its turn, repeated inside the building by means of the installation of a single and smaller volume for offices. In a reverse way, this smaller volume works as a lighting element inside the plant.

The working, areas and the safety corridors for workers and machines coexist in open space, being the graphisms marked on the floor the defining elements of safe circuits.

The relation of the building with the surrounding stands out at night by means of the interior lighting, unveiling it on the top of the industrial complex.

Bysteel FS project was distinguished in the prestigious international competition Architecture MasterPrize 2020 with an honorable mention in the category Industrial Buildings.
