Located on the ground floor of a residential building in the center of Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, the coffee shop features an eclectic atmosphere that blends modern style, loft elements and motifs reminiscent of old Europe. A cozy outdoor terrace offers the perfect spot to enjoy some food and a coffee or drink outside.

“When I began working on the concept of the project, my mind was filled with images of European cafés and restaurants that embody the spirit of history, vintage charm, and refined elegance,” says Jamal Ramisova founder of Jamal Ramis Design Bureau. “At the same time, I envisioned monumental structures of Greece, where ornamental motifs from ancient art inspired me to create a unique space. I wanted to craft an atmosphere of coziness without losing touch with modernity.” The project consisted in finding harmony between these two worlds.

A warm beige provides a soft and neutral backdrop. It is complemented by accent colors, including orange, green and rich red, adding energy, contrast and visual expression to the space. The design of the coffee shop combines vintage style elements with contemporary accents, creating a unique atmosphere. The walls are adorned with textured decorative plaster, adding not only texture but also character to the space. Dark wood in the furniture recalls vintage establishments, bringing warmth and elegance. The columns and diaphragm remain in their original form - concrete, serving as an accent that emphasizes the industrial-style atmosphere. The floor, previously a self-leveling floor from previous tenants, was painted, adding a modern touch to the space while maintaining a connection to its history.

“One of the most significant challenges in the implementation of this project was the task of integrating the bar area,” remembers Jamal Ramisova. “Finding the optimal solution that considered the venue’s ‘to-go’ concept and the ergonomics of the space required an unconventional approach and took a certain amount of time.”
